As Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Governors, I am proud to be part of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Centre of Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism (KPCVE), an institution that has become a vital force in the fight against terrorism, radicalization, and violent extremism. The Centre’s achievements over the past two years underscore its unwavering commitment to fostering peace, security, and resilience in our province. By conducting cutting-edge research, developing strategic frameworks, and facilitating collaboration among stakeholders, the KPCVE has provided invaluable support to both governmental and non-governmental entities in addressing these pressing challenges. A cornerstone of the Centre’s success has been its focus on capacity building. Through its well-designed training programs, workshops, and seminars, the KPCVE has empowered institutions across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to effectively combat and prevent extremist activities. Additionally, the Centre’s efforts in engaging religious scholars, media representatives, and international partners have enriched our understanding of violent extremism’s root causes, enabling us to design informed, context-sensitive interventions. The dedication and expertise of the KPCVE team have been instrumental in driving these impactful initiatives. Their tireless efforts have made Khyber Pakhtunkhwa safer and have laid a strong foundation for long-term progress. As we navigate the evolving challenges of extremism and violence, the Centre remains a beacon of innovation and determination. Together, we will continue to advance its mission of fostering a more peaceful and secure future for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
